This is one of the effects i have implemented in the map. does not look good in a screencap, but when i release my map it will look awesome. i promise!

I am now done with most of the levels, just have to finish up the jail and a couple of things. not all levels are visible on this screenie.

I'm going to start a new map, i will try to find out what i can do to fix the problem with surf_awsd. The new one im starting is going to be pretty plain and simple and also nice at the same time

Then why don't you go for a sideproject? Mabey a combatsurfmap, or a little surfmap?

Search for tools in the texture browser, and you'll find all textures which blocks bullets etc. so spawnkilling wont be a problem

This map will be level based, but not like the skillsurfs where you dont have any weapons. i might use a custom skybox for this project since the standard ones isnt sufficient enough.
